Who handles your information

For Her Editions is operated by MOTUS LABS LLC. For privacy questions or requests, email support@forhereditions.com.

Information collected on this website

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, signup time, and a record of the signup notice. We may also record campaign parameters, the page you joined from, referring page, browser information, and approximate country provided by our hosting service. Our service providers may process technical information, such as an IP address, to deliver and protect the website.

If you email us, we receive the contact information and content you include in your message. Payments are handled on Stripe’s checkout. We receive purchase records such as the checkout email, order reference, payment status, amount, currency and refund status. We do not receive your full card number or card security code.

App accounts and purchases

The web reader and native app use Sign in with Apple. Apple and our authentication provider, Supabase, process the sign-in, and we use an account identifier, browser session information or an app installation credential to link eligible purchases and manage access. We record activation, device replacement, refund and account-deletion events to protect and support your purchase. The normal web purchase flow connects your Stripe checkout to your Apple account without asking you to re-enter your purchase email. Your Apple email may differ from your checkout email.

Notes, highlights, reading progress, audio position and Make It Real entries are stored privately on your device. They are not currently synchronized across devices. Account deletion is available inside the app; we retain limited purchase and transaction records for purchase recovery, refunds, security and legal obligations.

How we use it

We use waitlist information to send book launch updates you requested, understand which campaigns generate interest, maintain the website, prevent abuse, and respond to requests. Purchase and account information is used to provide access, process refunds, handle account deletion and prevent unauthorized sharing. We do not sell the waitlist or publish subscribers’ email addresses.

Advertising measurement

This website uses the Meta Pixel to measure visits and completed waitlist signups where that form is offered. A visit or checkout click does not itself establish a completed purchase. Meta may receive browser, device, network, and page information and may use cookies or similar technologies according to its own policies. Our signup code does not send the email entered in the form to Meta as part of the signup event. Learn more in Meta’s privacy policy. You can manage cookies through your browser and advertising preferences through Meta; browser settings may limit tracking.

Service providers

We use website hosting, database, and communication services to operate the website and app. Stripe processes payments and Supabase provides account authentication and the access database. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where providers operate. We may disclose information when legally required or to protect the service and its users.

Your choices and retention

You can withdraw permission for launch emails or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing us. We retain signup information while the waitlist and launch communications are active, unless you request deletion sooner, and may retain limited records when needed for legal or security purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights over your information, including the right to object to certain processing or complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights.

Changes

We will update this page when our data practices change, including changes to purchase or app features.
